    Self Levelling Suspension

Just had this problem. The car lowered it self down to the floor, and then the drivers side lowered even more. (I think the electronics try to keep the car level using the spring, hense both sides lower, until a minmum point, at which the leak lowered that side only). Change the air bag...

    LPG vs Deisel

I've got an LPG Disco 2. I tried a diesel, but the lpg was better and the fuel made it nearly as cheap to run. If you get one, make sure it has a multipoint injection system on it, that way you hardly notice when its on lpg. If I started again I would consider a chipped one, but my engine...

Good MPG is possible with a petrol 4.0 litre

Get a mutipoint LPG fitted. Then the fuel is half price, so effective consumption is the same as a diesel, but you get to overtake people!

    Diesel waxing

In the Manual for my old Mitsi L200 it said that you should add up to 1/4 of the tank with Petrol! If you get a Tank heater, you may need to think about the Fuel Lines and the Filter. Some Euro box makers already fit Filter and Tank Heaters (peugeot i think). People who run on Bio Fuel...

LPG, to multi-point or not to multi-point

The multipoint system has been fitted today. I now have a smother car that revs more freely, and it is now difficult to tell the difference between petrol and LPG. I haven't been able to calculate the fuel comsumption but I will keep you posted. Its to early to tell for certain as it is too...

    Discovery Choice

I had to make that very choice, as I tow a horse box with two heavy horses in it, all up weight of about 3 tons, on top of a loaded Disco. I used to have a 4.6 HSE range rover. It was excellent at towing, you almost didn't notice the trailer but the petrol cost was amazing. I tried a td5...

    P38 battery discharge

It will almost definately be the alarm not arming correctly. If it can't arm, it tries again and again. On ours it turned out to be the upper tail gate not closing properly. After 2 batterys, we just clened the losk mec and it was fine, but we found it by chance. I think that test book could...

P38 Replace V8 .What diesel and how

I've heard of a 4.2l Toyota Diesel conversion that is very good, it might involve using the gearbox as well, but I can't find the details, also i'm pretty sure that someone has put a large american diesel in a P38. As eightavee said tho, its not worth it.

LPG, to multi-point or not to multi-point

Once it is warm, it is good, I can't tell its runnig on lpg. But it is only doing 9mpg, and thats on a run!! When it is cold, it cuts out which is a worry cos it is as you are slowing down and need the brakes!! Thats the way it has been since we got it. Think you are right tho, i'll get a...

I have an LPG 4.0 Disco 2. It has problems, backfiring, crap economy and when cold it can cut out. I took it to my local lpg expert and he said I had a single point system that acted as if it was an old single carb confusing the hell out of my mordern managment causing all of my problems and...

    Manual v Auto

you can always use an auto like a manual. And then when you get to town and have all the stop start, it comes into its own. and there is no need for clutch burn out when pulling from rest either. You only lose when desending a hill, with an auto it goes slightly faster, and if you have to...

    Air Suspension

I suspect it is, due to the remote being able to raise and lower it. Is there an air valve somewhere that could be tripped so that a slow graceful lowering of the back end can occur when the car is switched off. The car should then set the height to normal once the engine is on. I also assume...

    Mute

After saying the stereo works fine, it muted!!! I then cut the remote wires behind the connector on the stereo. It worked fine. So I told my other half I had fixed it (sort off). It then muted!!! I think a new stereo is called for.
