thanks for heads up lynall would have spent hours trying to find out whats wrong with it , turns out it was just a loose conection on the stop solinoid, quick fix, which was nice. hope yours are running well

Hello. I have a 86 n/a defender. Has always run really well up untill about a week ago. I dont really have much of an idea with whats wrong with it. The engine keeps cutting out, seems like its stalling but cant think why. After it cuts out it starts up fine but when i pull away it cuts out...

i do have a very powerful subwoffer from my old gaylander that i will stick in, so i have plenty of oomph, :) cheers guys

i took it to a landy speciaist today and they gave the same answers as you did, shaft or cv joint. thanks very much for your help howardo and david.

i have a 2001 freelander and i think that the diff is on its way out, i am geting slight knocking and vibration when i go round corners over 30mph. my question is, do i need to sort this out asap, or is it somethig that i can hold off for a little while. or is it something completly different...

hi, i was wondering if anyone know's of any good breakers that would stock freelander engines. i left it to long and on my way to the garage to get a new gasgit fitted. it gave up and the engine is fried. many thanks tom :)

thanks for the support, and yes all my friends do drive about in crappy saxo's and fiestas. but you will be pleased to know that my car is faster than there's 0-60 and top speed. but there just numbers really. its all about being different and being a 4x4 you can get the back end out on grass...
