ever since i did the head gasket ive had a airbag fault on the dash:confused:.I can only think ive moved something when the steering shaft went back in or the kids have dislodged a connector:mad: but i have no idea were to start looking any help please:D:D:D:D:D

were can i buy a oil filter sandwich plate for my4.6 or does anyone know what thread the oil filter is to try and get one off bay

ive read all the info you have all put on here about what oil should be used.I have a 4.6 p38 the book says i need 10w/40 but evrywhere i go they only do semi synthetic is this ok to use or not:confused:.If not could you help me and tell me were you lot get your oil from any help appreciated...

has anyone got or know were i can get an adapter for a oil pressure gauge i need the bit that scews into the block.It looks like a 1/2 inch thread to what i think is a 1/8:confused: thread for the sender i will gladly pay for it and postage thanks

at last finished of the head gasket job and all seems wel:)l.Pretty pleased with myself as its the first head gasket ive ever done:D.All ive got to do now is fix my mates bmw that broke down:doh: on me when i borrowed it cos my range was off the road

now both heads are off can you tell if the liners have droped:eek: there is no lip between them and the block that i can feel is this good news:D

right got the engine torn down and found a split in the drivers side head gasket but the liners are looking good will put a straight edge over them tommorow.But what i want to know should i clean all the heads of all the old oil and make em like new or just clean the gunk outIf there cleaned...

from my previous thread i have found out its not the manifold blowing but the head gasket.My question to all the p38 gods out there is would this mean it has slipped a liner.Its a 4.6 with no loss of power but id did over heat about 2 months ago but not since please help god of the p38

hi i have a p38 4.6 and it sounds like the exhaust manifold is blowing at the rear of the engine on the drivers side.Put new gaskets on and its still blowing if i put my hand under the manifold i can feel it blowing but i think its further back than the manifold,i cant get my hand in far enough...
