Right ive got a new MAF now and fitted it. It was all going well (well on and off throttle is a bit jerky) until i tried to start the car when it was warm. It just wouldnt start until i unplugged the MAF. Then with the car running i plugged it back in and everything was fine. What is going on...

My 4.6 is on 192K with an ancient single point LPG system. Its still going strong, and is half the cost to run

How do you then get the cable through the body? Is there a spare hole somewhere?

The rangie gets parked anywhere and everywhere. All secure parking privilages go to the cossie

Its on the end of the intake pipe, just after the filter. Just unplug the cable from it

Mine had a similar thing. Could be the MAF sensor. When it does it again try unplugging the MAF.

Dont get too deppressed. Ive had mine about 14 months, its got 192k on it of which ive done about 20k. The only mjor problem ive had is the MAF sensor has ****ed up after the car was left standing for about a month. Its had its few minor niggles, but it is an old high miler.

Well i think ive diagnosed the problem. Out in it today it start playing up so i unplugged the maf and it drives perfectly again now. Will it cause any problems running it like this while i find a replacement? And what are these £40 jobbies off ebay like, am i better off getting a guniune second...

Ok the problems still there. Can it be hooked up to any diagnostics machine to check faults or does it have to be a land rover specific one?

Yer i will see if it comes back again before i do anything else, its just going to be at the back of my mind all the time if i dont do anything with it. Its a second car so doesnt get used that much at all at the moment so its not too important. Thanks for the suggestions though guys

I had the same problem when i removed the hands free kit fromm my car. If you pull out the head unit you will see a blue wire in the loom that has a bullet connector on it, this mutes the stereo for the hands free. I cant remember if i had to unplug it or connect it back up, but it solved the...
