Hi i was wanting to remove my side bars as they have suffered terminal corrosion, but when i turn the bolt holding it on it just turns and turns without coming off. Its there something I am not doing?

I was looking to remove mine, but it seems that it catches on the wing and the bumper stopping it being released. Do you have to unbolt the wing or bumper to get it out?

Re the HDC Light. The problem is in the gearstick itself, the wires have come out od the connector and thus the car does not know your in 1st or reverse. Pull up the front of the geastick gaitor and its clearly visible. Some people solder it in, i just uses an mini screwdriver to adjust...

Hi was looking at a Freelander, which had a new HG last year, but there is no record of a timing belt change and engine is on 82000. Dealer say thats he is certain that the belt would have been changed as part of the HG replacement. Is this plausable.

tbh i would be happy with the 4.0se too, HSE would be a bonus, but overal condition is the main factor.
