Depends on if your buying a 2.5 200tdi 300tdi td5 v8 2.4 2.2 etc :D If your going to a td5 defender they are slightly de tuned compared to a disco but if you have it remapped and the higher ratio transfer gears then you will see better mpg. I used to get 33 on a run in my td5 def

Mines back in after a new Gear box and clutch at 28k. ecu, rear diff, check straps, paint on seams, now the egr's gone WTF There making them out of **** and more ****....... really ****ed off.

New MOT just put on it this morning. :)

Well now its been back in the stealers now for 2 weeks.. New gearbox and clutch and a seal on transfer case... WTF Told them to sort the throttle.. getting terrible over-run. And a slight bubble in the paint on the roof seam. shouldn't be happening on a new defender this!! ****

Exactly what happened to myn it ended up being the yellow relays under seat clean and crimp them up tighter.

I think you should fit front facing seats and belts... the damage caused by side facing seats and belts is not good heavy whip lash etc.. you have to notify your insurance if you want to be fully covered and then they wont insure you and say you have to fit front facing seats. bit of reading...
