What mileage is your Disco 2 on?

2002 TD5 - 118500 miles - last owner had it for ten years, he got it with 4000 miles on it. Some stamped service history, rest was done by garage and owner 'forgot' to have it stamped, suspect it hasnt seen a proper mechanic for a few years as it has few signs of neglect such as brakes nearing...

    Annoying wobbles

You've removed ACE? If so, have you replaced the ACE bars with standard anti roll bars? Think you mean you've gone from SLS air bags to springs though?

Dude find a 'fasteners' shop near you. I found one on an industrial estate a few miles from me. I walked in with the old nut and walked out with a new un, 50p, life saved!

    SLS Deflation while being loaded

Im not convinced its the air bags. Its been fine all day, fully loaded with tools, driven 100 miles and then left with ignition off for five hours, then driven home... No deflation. The compressor is only cutting in when first started or for a few seconds rarely during the journey. Everything...

    SLS Deflation while being loaded

I was loading my tools into my disco this morning via the back door. I was about half an hour doing this as I was sorting tools as I went. I just got to the last box loaded and there started a hissing escape of air and the whole back end went down to the bump stops. I started the engine and it...

    Removing stubborn steering knuckle

Ive got it off. Not ideal, but i put the nut on the thread and tapped it a few times on the side of the nut and off it popped. Bloody thing, it was a pig, but when i look inside the taper i can see why, its very corroded, mainly because the collect nut has a slit in it that lets in moisture to...

    Removing stubborn steering knuckle

I want to remove the steering knuckle on my td5 disco. Top ball joint is loose, but cant get the bottom to give in. Ive noticed on rave it says to remove the collect tension nut on bottom, but other people say not to and just hit it with hammer and it should break the taper? Can someone please...

Too keen with the angle grinder

Ive just changed my drag link and track rods for nice heavy duty ones. Removing one of the old track rod ends, i ended up having to grind the nut off and ive caught the hub... See pictures! Oops. Intercooler hose

I was surprised to find a lot of traders only do a three piece intercooler hose kit for my td5 disco. I really liked the look of british made derby performance hoses in black, but again they only did three piece. Mine has a small piece of hose from the turbo to the first solid pipe leading o...
