    Disco 2 ABS common/known problem?

Would a different signal not show up as a different speed to the other three then? I.e. if three sensors are seeing 100 pulses per second (100hz) and showing 15mph. If the other had finer teeth and was seeing 150 pulses, wouldn't that wheel show as doing 22mph ish in the live data and stand out...

    Disco 2 ABS common/known problem?

What I know so far (for what it's worth) All 4 sensors say 1.7kmh when stationary, all 4 say 2.2v and the graphs all go up exactly the same (when driving in a straight line) and vary slightly when driving round a curve, as I'd expect, yet the fault remains the same :( Just my opinion but if...

    Disco 2 ABS common/known problem?

Actually, the front ones only lasted about three months and the replacement rear isnt genuine (though I did try to find slightly better quality). Surely it should still be enough to stop the faults at least for a few days though. I'll get the live data on the go and see if anything shows up and...

    Disco 2 ABS common/known problem?

Sadly not, I'll see if I can spot anything in the live data

    Disco 2 ABS common/known problem?

The hub and sensor were new yesterday, fault still came back after being erased and then test driven

    Disco 2 ABS common/known problem?

Fair one but for now it's the best I have to work with, is there nothing that springs to mind that might say rear right sensor even when the sensor and ring SHOULD be fine?

    Disco 2 ABS common/known problem?

That's not the best news ever, it's a delphi something or other. I'll have a look

    Disco 2 ABS common/known problem?

The story starts with a little light laneing which I concluded with a couple of trips through a ford "to get the worst off" I broke the front bumper doing so but didn't think much of it at the time. The following day, the three amigos came on. The first time I've ever had a warning light on...

All done and so far so good but we'll see. The joys of landrover ownership eh?

    handbrake un-adjusting itself?

Actually, looking at the bolt in your picture, I might be able to undo it most of the way and threadlock it (what's on the one in the picture is at the hex end of it) - that'll keep me out of trouble for five minutes. Saying that though, it might still be something else

    handbrake un-adjusting itself?

Thanks, the one in it's virtually new but then, iirc, it was good old ****part. Don't suppose you know if the bolt can be removed, dosed with threadlock and replaced without the wedge dropping into the drum? looking at the picture of the britpart version, the bolt doesn't have anything on it

    handbrake un-adjusting itself?

Like I Said though; I've not looked yet. I asked in the hope someone could save me some time and it'd give me chance to buy the parts, if needed, before the weekend. The adjuster in the drum doesn't have teeth it's a wedge between the shoes and tightening the 17mm (hex) bolt into that wedge...

    handbrake un-adjusting itself?

That's a very judgemental thing to say considering you don't know anything about me - as it happens I'm a qualified mechanic so you're most likely wrong. I was just "hoping" it was a common problem so I could save a bit of time finding it.

    handbrake un-adjusting itself?

I've yet to look into this but wondered if anyone had had the same problem; My handbrake lever was coming up quite high, so I adjusted it (it had new shoes, springs and adjuster not long ago). A couple of days later, I found it needed adjusting again! Stranger things have happened I suppose, so...

    Disco 2 Tuning, ecu specific....

yeah, I understand that, just wondered how johnlad and pawl found theirs - best case would obviously be "quicker and nicer to drive but next to no noticeable difference in fuel" or similar

Will do, what do you think to the differences made - drivability and economy?
