    Bigger than I expected

Just remember the stresses you're putting on drive train too... 1.41:1 box would suit them alot more. You'll find it much easier to snap a half shaft or chocolate diff with them on

    R380 question

I did this conversion on mine mate. Gearbox bolts straight to the standard chassis mounts. No problem. I trimmed my seat box to get better clearance but alot of strength is lost by doing it. To get around that, I moved the seat box forward an inch and fed the gearstick thru the centre seat...

    19j to 200tdi wading plug???

After helping BigSi with clutch and flywheel housing gasket on Saturday, it became apparent that his disco 200tdi flywheel housing had the wading plug tapped and drilled in, whereas the 19j one fitted to mate with the lt77 merely had a hole which led to the cavity on the engine. There is a...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Cut and placed a piece of reinforced marine ply in the load bay area of bogey. Once it's bolted down it should give a fairly secure storage space underneath with some cover from the elements

    help!!!!! brakes gone wrong,again!

Is it a spongy drop to the floor or zero resistance? After all the bleeding I'm guessing there is fluid almost everywhere. Is your fluid level dropping after pumping the breaks lots? Going straight to floor would point towards something releasing the pressure. Get someone to pump the break...

Twin 300tdi's, completely different. Dif isssue

Just a point regarding the diff lock.. It is a centre differential, so you are guaranteed drive to at least 1 front and 1 rear wheel. If you want to spin all 4 wheels then you need locking axle differentials. With the extra plating, the special vehicles model will be heavier, compounding the...

    help!!!!! brakes gone wrong,again!

Have a look at the servo mate. The pedal attaches to a rod on the servo, that assists the pedal etc etc. When it's at the top and it takes forever to work it sounds like servo has lost vacuum. Going straight down and not doing anything could also be servo linkage issue. Vacuum pump, pedal...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Wow BGB was right... You have swallowed a Haynes manual for Xmas... That's right what you need. Although unless you are lifting it loads and going for some good cross axle articulation then it ain't really an issue. Gotta spend a lot of money before you need to invest in stuff like that

    Timing cover bearing..............

shouldnt be a problem. Standard roller bearing, they come in all shapes and sizes. Wouldnt be much of an issue sourcing something like that. Getting it pressed into the timing cover without cracking it... have fun!

    Green laning in warwickshire?

Told the Mrs it would be an afternoon, much more likely of a free pass if it's not all day. Local is the great boon too. Maybe an event in the new year?
