shaft's' i took out the shaft going onto it with the four bolts ?

hey, i had a leak a few day ago from the rear diff so i decided to redo the gasket seal on it, i took the propshaft out and then unscrewd the bolts on the diff. all bolts are off but i cant seem to pull the diff off, theres a little play but its as if its stuck on some thing. i tried rocking it...

ended up bumping it in the end lool starts up fine now but (!)brake light is still coming on when i turn the key to full:S

its a 200tdi and yes it goes out when i unlock it

ok so i went to my defender this morning and when i went to start it...there was nothing. battery and oil light is on n then when i turn the key glow plug light comes on and just as you would expect for it to start ticking over the (!)brake light comes on and then nothing.You can hear the relays...

humm i tried fitting the new one that came today but av got stuck haha.theres not enough room to get the pin in to push it though, and i cant push it through from the other side as when you push it in low it knocks the lockingside piece out :S

hello, i was offroading earlyer to day and had just come up a hill in low and was changing it back to high after i was up to go home. it slipped out twice and the nthe leaver just went lose...after a bit of investigating(sticking a screw driver in and playing with it ) i saw that the linkage...

yeh was having a playaround in them both, get more mpg in low ?

yes i admit a bit of a nooby question but... do i drive with it in high gear when on roads? lol
