    L322 4.2 AJV8 crank pulley

Hi all, had a bit of a look online but not really found anything. My 2005 AJV8 4.2 SC drives fine no issues, but has a vibration at around 4000-5000RPM, does it both under load and whilst sat holding the revs stationary, you can hear the resonance. I can now feel a very slight 'shake' through...

    Bought it

To me it sounds like your looking into things a lite bit too deeply. Quite often the OAT coolant does look very clean. Again, oil near the Low mark isn't the end of the world, if it was not on the dipstick at all it would be of concern to me. Remember it is a 13 year old car, you could give it...

L322 Genuine Front metal brake pipes P/N?

As Alan says, any garage can knock up some brake pipe. On my 2005 SC, my front N/S/F pipe rusted through just behind the arch liner and I knocked up a pipe (first time I had made up my own brake pipe) Didn't need to go to the ABS pump, there was a connector joint by the NSF metal wheel arch...

    Gearbox filling plug rounded

When I had my TD6, I removed the front prop to gain access to get a decent 6 sided socket on it. Why not remove front prop and try a bolt extractor kit? Something like this:

    L322 Condesor connection

Changed mine last year and had same issue. Just keep spraying it with a penetrating fluid, it's not the pipe o'ring itself that's stuck in the condensor, it's the two surface faces fused to one another. I used a flat head screwdriver to lever them apart very gently, but very carefull not to...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Wheels

Those tyres look pretty good, the sort of thing I would go for on my L322. How much you looking at for a set of 255's on the 19's? I would be surprised it you couldn't get 30k miles + out of them of "Normal" use.

    L322 '05 ABS pump/module - sorted

Al, Whilst searching I did come across a thread that Ant posted on RE the module getting fried under the hood being well documented on the early L322's/certain Beemas, I didn't come across any write ups though. Could be 2 reasons I missed Ants write up, firstly muggins here missed it whilst...

    L322 '05 ABS pump/module - sorted

Hi all, Just thought I'd post this if it's ever of any help to anyone. Recently Had issues with my early SC 2005 '55' ABS system, then as a result taking out the HDC, EAS, DTC etc etc. It was throwing up several faults, control module, ABS control internal failure, canbus etc. The pump/control...

    ride hight sensors

I understand. It took me a while to replace my rears, I had to cut/drill a few of the bolts holding my height sensors in place last December in the freezing cold (in the dark may I add) Fortunately it's not my daily driver so could afford to have it sat there unusable for a few days (and it...

    ride hight sensors

You could always swap the rear sensors over with one another....... Then see what happens when you start it back up and let the suspension settle.... If it then sits lower on the NSR you know it just needs calibrating as @Henry_b suggested

    L322 L322 radio doesn't work

Did you follow LR book procedure when disconnecting/refitting the battery, waiting for sat Nav LED light to go out etc? They have been known to fry certain ECU's etc when swapping batteries, (tend to be ICE related) jump starting etc. I think more common on the earlier 322's but could still be...

    L322 L322 radio doesn't work

Check for any damp in the boot side panel with all the ICE amp, computers etc a common problem. Did you have to jump start it at all? If so, did you do it 'by the book'?

My first Land Rover! Disco 2 OR Disco 3

Had two Disco 2's, first a '99 TD5 manual, second was a '00 TD5 Auto. (Sold the latter 7 years ago and bought an L322 Rangie) D2's are fantastic cars, had some great times in both of them. However, If I was after a Discovery I would definitely be going for a D3 HSE. Buy a good one and I'm sure...

    L322 exhaust change

Al, just finished coating the last caliper with hammerite. The question is, Any ideas how to get this damn yellow paint off my hands now ???? White spirits not touching it and stinks. The sausage and egg mcmuffin was tasty this morning though :p

    L322 exhaust change

What's the reason you need to change the exhaust on it? Or do you "want to"? I've got a 2005 Supercharged and wanted a bit more audible V8 burble (without being OTT) Got some tail pipes off ebay, to replace the humongous back box. They have very small silencers built it (not quite straight...

    L322 2003 steering angle sensor

I had the steering angle sensor fault on my 2002 L322 come up after driving a few miles after getting it front wheel aligned. I re-calibrated it using Hawkeye and never had any other issues with it again.. Hazarding a guess....if the arm you replaced was that bad..... when driving "straight"...

L322 SC Slight 'groan' when pulling away

Not sure. I've just driven it, Seems to be worse now... At higher speeds can feel a slight vibe/hear a slight groan. Wondering if it's the front diff...... the 'groan' Doesn't get louder at higher speeds though..... How to check if it's the front diff!?

L322 SC Slight 'groan' when pulling away

Had a look at the front prop at the joint onto the diff.... Definitely got some Torx bolts holding it on, so it's already been updated/recalled.

L322 SC Slight 'groan' when pulling away

Good shout...good question...I'm not sure TBH, only had it 7 ish months I've not looked. Will have a look underneath and get back to you. I didn't realise the front prop problem was still an issue 2005/6 but appears it was ... Cheers.
