Help please, Ive decided to replace the suspension on my 90.Can any body tell me how to check if the spring are okay or not. Its fairly easy to check the shock obsorbers once they are removed but what test[if any] is there for the springs.

If you mean fold down[or up] steps there is o hole in the chassis about 18 inches back from the front edge of the door, fix the arm of the step there and drill the other holes in the edge of the floor. If I remember rightly on my 90 there was a bolt through the chassis allready in place. Have a...

Iv'e just raised the question about noise in the defender having just been out in my pals nice quiet discovery, but for what I use it for the defender is here to stay, its abused most of the time but just keeps coming back for more.:)

re defender 90 top speed.Thanks for all the imfo, I thought mine was normal.Mileage is 87,000 which should mot be worn out. I will certanly look at some of the other ideas and let you know. If a blue pick up with toneau cover passes you in the wiltshire area doing a ton you will know who it is.
