    Hi again...just been thinking about this while having evening meal (sad or what)...best approach would be to open up remotes and see what condition they are in...if it,s an early issue batts may have burst and rotted insides away or batt springs...if made in 1989 first issue, never been used...

    A good tip here is to remove the rocker gear complete, most discos bend all push rods or bend rocker arms, very rarely any engine damage...take out glow plugs and do a compression test on cyl,s...if OK then carefully examine rocker arms for damage even stress cracks will fail eventually so look...
