    LPG or Quad ??

Fett, you are missing the point in your earlier comment about Auto's. Sure you lose a bit of power, but you can at least pick your nose when you are driving. What more can a man want, V8 engine noise and public nose picking? Also, on LPG, sure maybe from a financial point it doesn't...

Ha Bloody Ha - mind you, I did have to wipe of the pixie dust from the rocker covers...

    I know it is Sacrilege

but, paid someone to work on my 90... I hadn't had the LPG serviced for two years and it wasn't running so well when not on petrol. I haven't a scooby doo what he did, my mate dropped it off for me and picked up, but, it drives like a different car. Anyone know what they do on these LPG...

    Second throttle cable thingy???

Had a go at fitting it, must be something wrong with the cables as it kicks down way to early. I'll give it a go when I have a bit more time. In the mean time - I'll just drive a bit noisier....

Gearbox when warm won't change up from 3rd

Had a similar problem with a wagon of no pedigree (Spannish word for something very rude with a happy ending) - got lucky and a fluid change fixed it. May be worth a go before spending lots of dosh.

    indicator fault not the norm

If the switch doesn't smell and the fuse goes again - start checking earths. Many circuits will find a new way to work if an earth is not present as it should be, this can have really strange results -had a motor bike do exactly what you describe with a dodgy earth. Simply go to each of...

    Second throttle cable thingy???

Hi James, interested in your view about kick down. The reason I didn't fit it was as Eddy described, worried about revving the nuts of the engine and breaking the old girl. What do you think, is this being a little paranoid - if so, i could always try it.

    Exmoor Trim Mohair Roof

Hi All, thought I would share this experience with you. I bought an Exmoor Trim Mohair Soft Top for my 90 - chuffed as meatballs... On Friday evening the zip at the back broke - to say I was unhappy was an understatement! Tried to fix it and inevitably made things worse... Sent a grumpy...

    Second throttle cable thingy???

Out of interest. I have not connected the kick down. - two reasons, 1, It changed at times when I didn't need it 2, I did not want to strain the engine. I find using the gearbox much more predicable and puts less strain on the engine.

injection to carbs - help please

I have a 3.9 Disco engine with the carbs from an original 3.5 - I love it! It always works, including being just fine with LPG. To be fair to the other forum users, I'm sure that the power is down from the injection - but is really is great. If you live anywhere near Weston Super Mare...

The curious case of the hot V8

Whilst the best minds available are thinking about cooling problems.... I have 90 with a 3.9 / carbs fitted. The temperature runs just hotter that the previous engine - instead of the needle pointing at 12:00 O'Clock it points at 1:00 - runs fine but just indicates a bit hotter. I am...

    Carpets

Cheers Mate, I happen to have one in my garage - if management lets me, I'll have a go over the weekend.

    Carpets

Do you think that I could take off the lt85 tunnel and replace it with a 300tdi tunnel?
  16. R

    Carpets

Does anyone know what the differences are with the 300TDi carpet and the V8 carpet set. I have seen a few nice sets and options for the 300TDi and none for the V8 90. I assume that there will be some modification - but does anyone know how much and where?

Anyone got a Bedini LPG Kit

I do not know the specific kit you have, but it looks like every other LPG switch. Do you have Carbs fitted? If so, I am pretty sure it will work in the standard way. Position I (with the fuel pump picture) is petrol running to the Carbs. Position O is no fuel running to the carbs...

Haven't finished yet, but thought I would share a pikkie of my newly fitted Exmoor Trim top. I can hear the sound of the V8 even better now..:)
