i was talking about the egr electronic control box being on the drivers side under the dash not the egr valve on the manifold.when the box is connected it blows the fuse but when its not its ok what i want to know is if the box is disconnected should my disco still start.

my egr is on the driver side and i thought it might be water but it has none on the plug or the unit there is a unit on the passenger side but not sure what it is i thourght it was to do with the alarm or the central locking system.

thanks for that ill try that but i take it then i can leave the egr control box disconnected then and it should start.

i have 95 300tdi disco and having problems with it starting it was blowing number 3 fuse on satellite 1.Turns out it was egr electronic control unit what i want to know is since there is a mod for the egr system if i take the control box out will this stop the disco from starting. can anyone...

hi i have a 95 300tdi disco and everytime i turn the ignition on it is blowing no 3 fuse on satellite 1 can anyone help me its driving me crazy?
