It's cos there strech bolts and if they jam up when tightening then effective torque will be wrong.

Just checked battery voltage 12.2v but has been stood 48hrs, run up and went right up to 14.4v, i live very close to a 24hr petrol station, so i think my becm is kept awake :D

Thanks JT, i removed the blue wire and it made no difference. fob or key. If i use the fob to unlock the doors all the buttons pop up and it locks again almost straight away, if i use the key in the door it does the same, the only way i can get into the car is to press the remote unlock...

anybody, any ideas please.

also noticed tonight that when the doors lock themselves the red alarm doesn't flash, but if i push the lock button on the remote it then flashes as it would normally.

I have used a product called Asta 3000 in a very cloged up rover 825 sd and it worked very well and very impressed.
