Can I have some advise on the attached please. Essentially should the glow plug nearest the radiator on a series 3 diesel (2.25) have an earth. Looking at mine, the glow plugs are wired in series but when it comes to the last glow plug in the line there is no earth connection as far as i can see.

Yeah, the lightweight was a chopped down rangie with 3.5litre v8. I owned it about 10 years ago. Unless someone has some of the steelies on I guess I'll have to cross my fingers and try them.

Thks for all of the assistance chaps, my research has concluded the same, i.e detent springs. However I seem to have no problem at all engaging any gears so I assume the synchros carn't be that bad. Will the synchros problem be causing the loud rushing sound or do you think I have other probs??

I'm looking to purchase a series landrover however I need to be sure it will fit through my garage door. The garage door is 7ft wide by 6ft 8inches tall, will a standard series landrover on 750x16 with a hardtop fit??? Thks
