    Roof Tents ~

Hi Booger - you've got the point exactly, it's the height of the awning that would cause me problems. As to why not use a normal tent - it would just be usefull when the weathers bad to be able to access all the bits in the back, clothes cooking stuff, food, BEER. Somewhere to stick the bikes...

    Roof Tents ~

Brett, Sorry didn't make myself very clear - my Landy is 2.14m (7') to the base of the roofrack. It's not got a lift, just double springs at the rear and 265/75 tyres so can't figure how it appears 4 (and a bit) inches higher than the norm. Do you think the Kanga would cope with the extra or...

    Roof Tents ~

Hey Brett My worry with this one is that the suppliers say it's only good up to 2.03m high & my Landy + rack is 7 ft (2.14m) - will it touch the floor? I bought a Khyam awning which never touched the ground & left plenty of room for the pooches to wander at leisure raiding BBQ's & bins. What...

The one with the intergral awning was £785 + VAT from memory & the side awnings about £160 + VAT. I did make enquiries direct from the chinese manufacturers earlier in the year regarding importing them direct myself through work. I got as far as making enquiries with shipping agencies etc...

    Roof Tents ~

Hey Nimrod Another person in the same boat! I've been looking around for a while now trying to find something affordable and suitable for the weather in UK & northern Europe. I looked at the Kanga one on ebay but to me it's downsides were 1. It didn't appear to have any 'flysheet' & I was...

    Td5 wont start

Thanks for all your help & replies. I replaced the cps (the old one did look worse for wear upon inspection) and she started first time. Cleared the faults & nothing has registered to date. Also degreased the ecu, quite a bit of oil starting to seep in & cleaned up the connectors. Once again...

    Td5 wont start

Quick update on progress. Removed some extra insulation from the loom before the ecu socket. Checked out the oil situation - quite a lot present in the connector so cleaned it up. Still wouldn't start. Nanocom registers rpm when engine cranked from battery so ignored the sensor for moment...

    Td5 wont start

Thanks for the tips Shifty, I'll start by cleaning the loom & see what happens. Strangely enough I've just bought a fob to activate the alarm although I haven't programmed it yet - I wonder if there is anyway the immobiliser can activate itself in error? I'll post my results incase anyone else...

    Td5 wont start

Wondered if any of you could help with suggestions about the following problem? There were signs of oil adjacent to the ecu so I replaced the injector harness. A few days later while driving a warning light (the one that looks like an outline of an engine in amber) came on. I had a look with a...

    Clutch problems

An update. The engine's been out, new heavy dury clutch, bearings etc as recommended but the dual mass flywheel was knackered too! All the bearings had come out and were rattling round inside. Doesn't appear to have damaged anything. Looked up the flywheel on this site & found out it had been...
