I've put battery on charge for a full charge, I'll try it in morning as it was nearly flat, maybe not enough power to purge fully.

Yes it turns over but not starting , it seems to purge and whine stops but then won't start

No I didn't don't prefill, but went through purge procedure. Just ftried it again and now it won't start at all

Hi all, just fitted new fuel filter on my td5 and now it's priming constantly and making a whining noise all the time , it's fine before and is running but wasn't making this noise before. Is there a lot of dependence on filter make as this is not a genuine part , or have I missed something...

I've just fitted the replacement receiver I bought and never got round to doing, bingo it turns over but battery a bit flat now I'll put it on charge and try again. Thanks very much for the pointers, I'd have completely forgotten about the receiver if you hadn't mention fobs! Cheers Ian

It's flashing once every two seconds then goes solid when I turn key, I've been using key only after removing fob receiver and it's been fine for 2 years,

Could it be something I've done when rplacing airbag?
