    Diesel Manual transfer box ecu needed

    Does anyone know were i can get a 2nd hand transfer box ecu for a p38 diesel manual. Dont want to have to hand over £160 to the local range dealer for a new one if i can help it. Ebay usually has around a dozen available but all for petrol autos. Any advice welcome.

    No problems, you can checkout the website www.tawpark4x4.com, which has the ebay link on it, plus photos and full fitting instructions. Learn from my mistakes..... read the instructions carefully!!

    thanks goldpanner, sounds like i have the exact same unit as you. When you cut into the engine temp sender wire, the instruction say to cut the blue/grey wire on the wiring loom. The only one i could find had a dark grey stripe which looked almost brown..... Does this sound like the right one...

    just put my p38 95 through mot today, clean pass, but i have the exact same problem. Had it to the local tyre centre twice in the last three months, my own mechanic says all bushes and track rod ends etc are fine......... dont know were else to look??

    yeah, i washed it through twice with about 500ml of red diesel, good for breaking down the oil deposits. After that i used about 200ml of unleaded to rinse it clean, then left it on its side to dry. Petrol is good as it will lift the last of the residue, plus it will evaporate dry a lot...
