2.5 GL- Randomly cuts out and wont start again until cold

Nothing to do with the LPG folks - twas a faulty cam sensor - that was all - new cam sensor and all problems have gone away... Apparently the ECU in the LPG took its signal from the main ECU and cut the gas off when it didnt hear from the cam sensor - so two probs rather than one.... Hope...

2.5 GL- Randomly cuts out and wont start again until cold

Have been driving the car for last 3 days solely on petrol without a problem - so I am guessing that this is a problem with the LPG system - seems like something is cutting out the lpg fuel feed and wont let petrol take over at the same time? Any lpg installation experts out there?

2.5 GL- Randomly cuts out and wont start again until cold

My Freelander has developed a worsening problem - Started with very occassionally cutting out once warm and not starting again for a couple of mins - then progressed to not starting at all after (say) parking up outside the shop for a few mins. Now it is cutting out more frequently and engine...

newbie! P38 cutting out when warm

hmmm - Dont think so - since problem does not materialise if started and kept to petrol. Plus not slurping more juice than normal? On LPG problem only happens sometimes - might be after stopping at shop or might be when pulled up at junction, but either way, car wont start again on gas or...

will putting T rated gen grabber AT2 tyres on my Freelander V6 cause insurance woes?

Ok all - I have found the answer: a) You can fit any tyre so long as it has a speed rating in excess of the manufacturers claimed speed for the vehicle. ie - My V6 has claimed design speed of 113mph and T rated tyres are 118mph - so ok. b) You have to inform your insurance company as changing...

will putting T rated gen grabber AT2 tyres on my Freelander V6 cause insurance woes?

I have a set of general grabber AT2 tyres I want to fit on my freelander. Someone has worried me by telling me that they are T rated whereas manufacturers recommended tyre rating is H rated? T rated tyres are fit for vehicles up to 118 mph and my v6 top speed is theoretically 113mph.... Any...

ha ha love the guy who has owned his six weeks! My 2.5 v6 has only covered 35k - had a new engine 7k miles ago - has the contractual obligation gear change bang which needs fixing now and the aircon needs regassing. Apart from the alloys already looking like their from a 1980s Ford - Im...

    1.8 losing water

makes me wonder why timing belt was one tooth out in the first place - Wonder whether your bent valve is as a result of correcting something that was done for a purpose? How many miles covered since last head gasket job - any ideas - seems a bit of a coincidence?

    Fun in the snow?

Living at the top of a hill - I spent 20 mins this morning towing eejuts in their mercs and bm's back up the hill to their drives... Half an hour earlier - I was pulling up next to the same idiots who were convinced they could return home without my help - watching them wheel spin and move...
