Dont get an FM transmitter the sound quality is appalling get the modulator that plugs in line there fine. My mother in laws CD changer works through one, never had to re tune it due to interference either locally or when on holiday all over the south coast.

Your CV joints are inside the swivels could be that which is knackered. Possibly wheel bearings if the leaking oil has gotten to them and contaminated the grease. How long has it been leaking?
