thats what i initially thought it was but there is no sign of coolant round it or to the rear of the engine below it. it looks like it is contained to the front, so i think it might be like bankz5152 said and be the oil cooler

Recently i have noticed a coolant leak on my engine (its a TD5 in a Defender 90) its on the left hand side towards the front of the engine just below the manifold. does anyone have any idea if this is serious and where it could be leaking from?

i have tries the switch on the light in all three positions and only comes on in one of the three positions (always on) when you say the button to turn off the alarm do you mean the remote fob?

i mean that is a option but its a feature i would like to fix/restore
