Would anyone Know if you have a hole in the mid section of the exhaust would it affect the running of the engine. It might be me however it appears to be running very rough. Any ideas anyone please!!!!

Basically the hose from the pump to thermostat has split and I need to remove the fan to allow access to the clip on the hose. I have not got the special spanners and just wondered if anyone had any idea's.

Replace the rad mate just had the same rock hard hoses and overheating. rad replaced and all is well. its a good place to start. Andy........

Hi Guys, Thanks for all that very useful info really appreciate it. However I eventually managed to source a radiator from the UK after replacing the thermostat, viscous fan etc. Replaced the Rad, pressure build up disappeared and the temperature has become normal, in fact its running cooler...

I'm about to remove the heads and replace the gaskets, does anyone know if there are any precautions i need to take when removing. Also do I have to use new head bolts or can I get away with using the old ones.

Thanks Rick I have already tried this, however i didn't check the nipples. Mind you as i said i'm waiting for a new Rad so this would resolve that one. Whats your thought's on the expansion cap, could this be a problem? I suppose really I'm thinking its a head off job and i'm trying to delay it...

You could check fuses 17,42,43 as well mate.
