Hi! Mine l series FR has some problems so I've needed some help in DM by some exp. owner! ASAP Do you guys know what type oil goes into the IRD and where to change it? Or do you have some manual for the IRD?

Have you tried checking on the brakes or on the propshaft bearings. BTW mine has the same symptons but mine hsn't got a propshaft.

The engine runs on a bit thicker oil, 15w 40 and has around 270k km on it (160k miles). Since the last oil change it drove around 60 kms. In this case through the breather tubing oil is dripping.

If you don't want to do hardcore off roading I'l suggest you the BFGOODRICH ones. On my FL I'm having those on 15'' widened steel rims. Tire dims are 215/70 R15. Those aren't whining on tarmac, but still getting you out of trouble on offroad.

Since I had the head off the block, I changed all the 4 glowplugs for new ones. I looked up for the problem in rave and I noticed that nothing is between the battery and the glowplugs just the 70amp fuse and a relay. So I solved my problem by changing the 70amp fuse.

I already checked the fuses, they're all good.

You can hear it from the cabin slightly. I think 80% of the knocking is coming from the high pressure pump. Do you have some time of a service manual for the pump/fuel system of the L series? The one I have, does not writes about it.
