Ah, now you're asking. I can't remember the name of the hose but it's about a 1.5 hand lengths, slight curve, made of a kind of rubber-like material full of meshing I think. Will the others be close behind because they're likely to be the same age, or because of the failure of this one?

No steam coming from the vents. Garage checked it over for me - they say all the filters etc are fine. Weather has changed, I bought one of those humidifier "bean bag" type thing, problem is less but I don't know if the bag's working or there wouldn't have been condensation anyway as the weather...

How could I check the weeping heater matrix? Mine is a *lot* worse than that! All over the windscreen and quite "thick" if you know what I mean, in damp conditions if I pop to the shops for about an hour.

Yes, I have done that as part of all the checks - completely dry. All footwells and carpets are dry.
