    P38 gearbox messages

I bought this P38 at a knock down price, it needed a few jobs doing, but as far as I am aware the engine ECU has been removed completely. The Daihatsu engine is basically a manual engine with very little in the way of electronics. I have never seen a P38 converted like this before, have seen and...

    P38 gearbox messages

No air suspension on this one, been replaced with springs, so possibly this could be something to do with error messages ?

    P38 gearbox messages

I,ve just bought a third P38 ,a M reg 4.0 auto with the engine replaced with a Daihatsu 2.8 turbo diesel using a Milner conversion plate. The truck runs pretty well ,but the dash is clogged up with gearbox error messages, "Select Neutral" , Slow 35 mph max" ,etc. My question is how can I get rid...

I had the same problem, couldn't figure out how to get at the wiper to change it, so had to ask the local RR expert. Answer was open the tailgate, top and bottom, then close top tailgate only, switch on rear wiper , go around the back of your truck and when rear wiper reaches centre of travel...

    P38 Steering

I have a '98 4.0SE which also recently developed an alarming steering wander. Having initially discounted the steering box as the problem, I changed the shocks for uprated air filled ones, the air suspension units, the steering damper and the suspension bushes, all without curing the problem...

    4.0 or 4.6

I've got a 4.0SE and a 4.6 HSE, both running on LPG and can honestly see no difference in the performance between the two, however, the 4.6 is slightly more economical on fuel.

    Steering problem

With the car on jacks it turns really easily to the left but you have to really apply a lot of force to get it to turn to the right.

    Steering problem

I've got a bit of a puzzle here, have a R-reg P-38 4.0se that had developed an alarming steering wander. I had already replaced shocks and steering damper so local LR specialist had a look and diagnosed suspension bushes, replaced these, better but still not cured .Garage now thinks steering box...

    P38 sound system

We have a 1996 P38 4.6 HSE with a HK stereo/CD changer, and recently we have been getting sudden loud cracks or popping sounds for the back of the car, at the same time the radio/CD volume will either mute or get louder, combined with the radio display going dim for a while. It's quite...
