Update, steering all sorted, ended up swapping my 6 bolt Gemmer for a 4 bolt refurbed steering box, that was of course after I figured out that the Disco 1 drop arm does not fit on a 6 bolt box ( need to read the description better in future :rolleyes:) . Anywho she drives lovely now, well...

Yes, your right Anaconda it's something I need to check correctly, I just need to get the ball joints updated then at least I know it ain't them that's contributing to things. Watched a couple of videos on the swivel set-ups etc, next job after this current one. Lasher

Evening all, just after some of y'alls knowledge. I have a 1989 90, 19J engine and all quite original. Love the truck, but! the only thing that I'm not happy about is the steering, this is the only 90/110 I have ever driven, so don't have anything to gauge it to. I don't have any modifications...

Fixed my top Oil Cooler pipe again today, don't know why these things never arrive with an O ring! Fitted new top and bottom UJ's on the steering shaft, now things seem a little tighter, on to the Radius Arm bushes tomorrow hopefully no major battles!

Update, all the A Frame components now sorted last week , Lemforder ball joint pressed in the original bracket, new bushes fitted, the arms all cleaned and painted up. Top Tip! make sure you have the arms on the right side before you nip everything up :rolleyes: seriously slows you down. But...

My first thoughts on seeing the photos were the front wheels or tyres look smaller than the rear for some reason! Just my opinion

Thanks for the insights Dag, I have ordered an aftermarket Fulcrom and ball joint as a back-up, but the plan is to try and fit the OEM joint I bought back into the original bracket at the weekend and re-install it. Then swap out the upper bushes and clean up the A frame and paint. Oh and change...

Nice work Litch, I don't usually have an issue with bushes it's the rusty nuts and bolts, especially in awkward to reach places. Fingers crossed that a weeks worth of WD40 will make things easier for me.

Do not have one myself Hicap, a mate has one round the corner but he was busy this weekend, but all good for next week.

On a separate note, how difficult are the upper A frame bushes to replace? thinking of doing it while I'm on the case, I can start soaking the old bolts while the new ball joint arrives.

Ordered a new bracket and ball joint, I've cleaned and sprayed up the old bracket, just need some longer bolts and a suitable hub nut socket to try and press the Lemforder ball joint I purchased back in (as per Busterbus's tutorial), I can then keep that as a spare. Thanks for the advice folks
