    Hi I have recently had to remove my gearbox from my 1972 series 3, ( thrust bearing seized ) . Decided to fit a complete OEM clutch. Everything lined up be cannot get the gearbox all the way in.     Series 3 clutch

    Hi Since I reported my clutch pedal solid I have removed the gearbox, I found that the thrust bearing had seized on its shaft. I have now bought a complete clutch. Q do I use any lubricant on the thrust bearing shaft, and what lubricant do I use on the splines. Thanks Ian Fewtrell.

    Clutch pedal solid.

    My clutch had been making so odd noises recently and the pedal was getting stiff. About four years ago I stripped out the pedal box ( pedal had seized) pushed out the pivot shaft cleaned everything up unblocked the oil ways and refitted, all good.
