    L322 Caliper replacement on L322

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of renewing a number of the front wheel assembly components in line with my service scheduling on my L322 (full details below), and noticed something I'm unfamiliar with on the calliper hoses. I'm familiar with the usual banjo bolt and hose coupler assembly on a...

    L322 Uneven rear disc wear

Thanks for the replies gents I did do as @pwood999 suggested in the end, and cleaned up the guides - significant rust across them, it was clear they were pinned on the guide rails! See photo below, much cleaner now and pad glides freely. It appears to have solved issue with the non-uniform...

    L322 Uneven rear disc wear

Unless someone removed them, it appears that my early model of calliper mount didn't come with the spring-loaded guide pins to prevent tilting of the pad! L322 Uneven rear disc wear

Thought about this the past 30 minutes; perhaps this is due to the pad not sliding on the calliper? The calliper mount which recesses the inner pad legs was severely corroded so I filed and wire brushed the sliding areas well - but of course the calliper itself is harder to take into the...

    L322 Uneven rear disc wear

So I started the task of replacing the rear discs and pads today. They were squeaky for the past month or so and thought it best to change. I always noticed uneven rusting where the outer edge of the disc didn’t appear to be contacting the pad. I presumed whoever put the pads on used the wrong...

L322 Electrical issues: Suspension & Starter

Okay thank you very much for all the info and replies! Here is an update: Managed to start car no problem around 4 times today, battery reads 14.6 V when engine is started and around 12.23 V when off. Engine ground lead mirrors these voltages (i.e. potentiometer probes on + terminal of battery...

L322 Electrical issues: Suspension & Starter

I was just driving down the m25 when I got the dreaded “air suspension inactive” message… Thankfully, each spring looked inflated okay so I drove back home. Fault reader stated a strange air suspension code: “Too much force on front axle”. So I cleared the code, restarted the engine, and now...
