Ha, I know what you mean, they're a great bit of kit. I use mine for work (tree surgery) pulling a trailer on smaller jobs and need it to go in farmer's fields etc. It's great. I've bought a timing belt kit from AF with all the pulleys and idlers and the aux belt, but haven't fitted yet. Got...

And yes, i think it's only switching the lights off that turns them off, although I haven't actually tried turning other things off to double check, I will do.

Hi, thanks for this. I haven't yet had the wheels aligned, although I am going to, but the fault was happening before so I thought it was unrelated. That said, it happens much more frequently now and maybe the knackered wishbone was throwing it out too? I'll get the alignment done next job...

Also, I did remove the butterfly flap thing when doing the egr blank, thanks again!

Many thanks all. The battery voltage with engine off is just 12.45V I'll check at 2500rpm tomorrow and let you know, thank you. I changed the front off side lower wishbone. I'll take the shroud off as suggested, thank you. I'm ordering a new steering angle sensor to see if it helps with HDC...

I also recently blanked off the egr valve pipes and changed a front wishbone, but both hdc fault and engine not switching off predated this work.

The voltage readings were taken with the engine running on idle, didn't seem to fluctuate when I turned radio and air con and lights in etc and ran at 2000rpm

Thank you for your reply, much appreciated. I do tow a trailer for work, most days. I checked the battery voltage and read the codes with an iCarSoft LR V2 code reader, pics below. I am also getting the HDC suspension lowered fault, which I didn't mention on this thread as I didn't want to...

Hello all, I bought a Disco 3, 6 months ago and now have trouble switching the engine off, but only when the headlights are on. I have to switch the lights off, after turning off with the key, for the engine to stop. Anyone heard of this before please?
