    Camshaft end float HELP!

I've got another one of many questions about my 200tdi. This one seems a little more serious though. I was going to check the endfloat of the camshaft of the replacement bottom end I've recently purchased (I bought a mag base and everything), when I realised the camshaft had A LOT of back and...

    T Seal Preventative maintenance

Hi everyone, I've just bought a replacement 200tdi to replace my worn out one. It's currently sat on an engine stand waiting to be assembled (the crank is already in place). My question is should I replace the T seals on the bearing cap whilst it's out and already partially disassembled to save...

To rebuild or not to rebuild

I'm pretty certain it's not the turbo, there was a pool of oil in the air filter housing so I think it's coming from the oil separator hose.

To rebuild or not to rebuild

No unfortunately I didn't. Okay that's some good advice thanks, I was told to try replacing the head gasket to see if that helped with the smoke but when I saw the wear in the bores I just assumed that was what's been causing the problem. It was chuffing blue smoke when the engine was warm, it...

To rebuild or not to rebuild

Hi The 200tdi in my 110 is looking like the piston rings are going to need to be replaced as it's a bit smokey when warm. I've taken the head off to check if the head gasket was still intact but I've discovered a small but noticeable ridge in the cylinder bores so I'm guessing bore wear/piston...

    Cylinder Head Dead?

I've taken the head off of my 200 to replace the head gasket. Whilst I was cleaning it to put back on I noticed that there's some pitting on the head mainly in the little triangle bits in the middle but also some near the edge. Do I need to get it skimmed or is the head scrap even? Thanks

    Low range location on box

Ahh okay, thought I had some special transfer box for a moment. Thanks for that

    Low range location on box

The high and low range in my 110 seem to be the wrong way round. High is fully forward (where L is on the knob) and Low range is back (where H is). It took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to figure out why it was driving so slow. Does anyone know the reason for this? All I can find...

Another question about wiring. Fuel Sender

Evening, I'm still going through the absolute mess of wiring on my newly purchased 110. Can anyone guide me in the right direction on which wires should go where on the fuel Sender. I've got a dark green and black wire and a ground wire but I'm not sure which way round they go. Here's a...

    Chassis wiring loom

Thanks for that, that's great. I'm going to give it a crack at the weekend. The trailer wire is a good shout. It would make threading through the chassis much easier. Cheers guys for your replies.

    Chassis wiring loom

That would be great thanks. I have a feeling the exit hole has been welded up as I can't see one anywhere.

    Chassis wiring loom

Hi all, I bought my first land rover at the weekend. It's a 1988 110, and it's got a few issues that need addressing so I imagine I'll be on here a lot from now on. The main issue is that someone has cut through the wiring loom that goes through the chassis to the rear. I'm assuming one end of...
