I am considering putting a 110 sailsbury rear axle into my 90 as a cheaper way of making the rear stronger. Im running 35 inch tyres and ive just blew my 10 spline rear diff, i can imagine its the first of many, i dont really have the money to get strenghened shafts and lockers. So far i know...

Sorted! found the problem did after all turn out to be rear UJ, note to self, turn off handbrake when testing!

I was reading another thread about same problem im having, after about 40mph on full trottle or up hills im gettin big vibrations from the front drive shaft. i removed it and checked the UJ's which are fine. theres play coming from the link into the transfer box. Is there a bearing that could...

haha kids... thank god ive non yeat, im only 22 ! but yea basically im going to try copy what you buy in the shops but im going to play about with a 3 way cigartte socket and my cb as have neither fitted!

Thats excact same problem with mine!! its also a d plate 90, but has a 200tdi engine

IM also keen to find out the problem and im going to try all the pointers you gave as just after some offroading on a very rough rock road ive got same vibration at same speeds on full trottle etc! hoping it not an expensive fix!

Would any one be so kind as to measure and perhaps give me an idea on size of there cubby box, im a dab handy at wood work and as student budget doesnt stretch to such luxuries im going to make my own! Im after some basic measurements or even photos would be great!!! Thanks

Just thought id say hi! picked up my land rover 90 csw in exeter at the weekend and took it back up the 650 miles with no probs!! its a bit slower than my last tank (volvo 850 R) but its smiles all round!
