What have you done to your Freelander today

Got the car through the mot. Another 12 months trouble free motoring ahead. Passed on everything except the brake lines. Nearly all of them were rusty. I knew they were rough. So had the lot replaced. All good now I hope.

    MGF interior mirror mod

I followed jayridium instructions to the letter and now I have a new interior mirror with lights. I managed to run the wires from the mirror to the a post without removing the headlining. I am really chuffed with it. Thanks for all the help

That’s a brilliant reply. Thank you so much. Will have a go tomorrow. Got time as work is closed down due to positive cases of the rona and we are all self isolating!

    MGF interior mirror mod

Cheers. I am pretty sure it runs down the pillar. So I will extend the wires from the mirror to the pillar. Join the wires and make an earth somewhere. It may even work:)

    MGF interior mirror mod

Had a brief look under the trim on the right hand pillar. The aerial appears to run down ther with two wires are wrapped around it. I think these might be the wires I need

Yeah that looks very good. I’m not up to that standard, that does look very impressive

    MGF interior mirror mod

That looks amazing. My mod will be less spectacular but I think the MGF mirror Is a nice compromise. I was hoping not to have to remove the headlining which is why I was hoping I could run the wires to the right hand pillar and so only have to remove that piece of trim

    MGF interior mirror mod

Hello folks. My interior mirror had fallen off ages ago. Had a horrible suction one. Looked on here and saw the mgf interior mirror mod. Mines a 3 door. Does anyone know if the interior light wiring comes down the front offside pillar? I could take it off and look I suppose. But just asking first

Fitted the Renault 5 thermostat mod. It was an easy enough job to do. Didn’t need to take anything apart to get to it. I dare say fitting th,e proper thermostat would be better but didn’t think I would be able to do that myself. Works fine now though. Took it for a spin and temp gauge now sits...

    Fitting a soft top

I haven’t forgotten I said I would take some pics with the roof down. But weather is so bleeding awful I have not had it down yet!

    Fitting a soft top

It might. But that word is too big for me. It sort of pushes the rear of the hood out and back so that the rear window slides up into it snug

    Fitting a soft top

I’ll have roof down tomorrow. I’ll take some more pictures and find me tape measure

    Fitting a soft top

it adjusts the rear of the hood so the window slides up properly. There is one each side
  17. R

    Fitting a soft top

And this is the adjuster that I kept getting wrong. It allows the rear window to close
