    Stereo System

Here is a diagram of the wires for the 8790 FR Unfortunately, no information available on the wires for the DIN which comes out from the Head unit itself. Eurovox apparently ommited this information to prevent just the very thing I intend to do.

    Stereo System

It all starts with this little barstard called the 13 PIN DIN. Enquiries will lead you through a bunch of electronic unsavy morons - you will find them at any local car sound or Auto Audio store. . . They will say, if it is an unusual plug your pretty much stuffed. I say, **** that, cut off...

    Stereo System

hey good news. . .All this talking to myself has revealed a method for Bypassing the required stacker signal of the Eurovox system. Just need to create a 5 volt loop between two of the cables, and this will leave you with a LEFT and RIGHT input for AnYTHING, ,that will allow you to plug in an...

    gearbox/diff?

yeh why is it so hard to find stuff on this forum ? sometimes I get a reply. . .yeah this has been covered a gazzilion times. . and yet, its almost impossible to do an accurate search. I think you could pull out the shaft with a hammer and chisel first without removing the rubber booty. Just...

    gearbox/diff?

Expensive though, , , oils etc : I mean, only landrover sell the gearbox oil. You can't even buy the correct oil from another brand. If your gearbox oil is good. . .try getting ready to save it when you pull out the IRD. Thats where it will come out first. Better yet. . .Drive the car around for...

    gearbox/diff?

Actually. . .Having done the IRD once. I think I could take it out, and replace it within the hour. However : with a big capital H. If you have problems releasing the nuts of the exhaust manifold use a blow torch first and while hot get to work on em quick. Taking those off for the first time...

    gearbox/diff?

Yep, Also, before you try to pull out the IRD, you will need to get a hammer and a chisel, and take off the drivers side CV housing. This makes it a thousand times easier to take out the IRD. Also, make sure you do this before you undo the engine mounts : otherwise the CV joint will rest on...

ABS, Traction Control & Hill Descent Warning Lights

Hey, You can actually get a machine from ebay now, which clears all warning lights. Might be useful to those wanting to sell their vehicles. How to change IRD and DIFF oil

Syntrax I used. . .75/90 Best way is to undo the sump nut from the bottom, for release. . . If you get under the car, and feel for the top sump nut, its best to fill from the top using a clean hose. Won't do your back in that way or need a pump. You only need to fill about 1.5 litres.

Re Fuel Pump - Veg oil

Hey I've just checked out the fuel pump on my freelander petrol (wondering if it is the cause of all this nonsense. Am thinking now about getting a diesel. Now the Xedi can run on veg oil, which is good for me. But the Veg oil needs heating right ? So Looking at this fuel pump, there are three...

    New Diagnosis

Ok. . .Just removed hoses for cooling system. There was no loss of fluid. Am now suspecting fuel pump. Would a broken fuel pump cause spluttering during drive and finally a break down ? Without being able to restart the car ?
