Thats just a scrap peice of metal i was practicing with in photo will be getting some new sheet metal to do the job properly. The other side isnt as bad but both inner wings need welding, rear sills need patched outriggers patched and a few patches on chassis.So plenty to do.

Yes both sides have rot on mine im still learning to weld at the minute but getting better. Thats a nice job youve done

Well thanks all(especially the bcu disconect which i will be doing in future got lucky this time) i just tried everything advised not sure which one did the trick or it was just one of those things that sorted its self out but main thing shes running again. Thanks all this is got to be the best...

Hopefully not as just spent £194 having bcu repaired at callarova. Would s you recommend disconnecting bcu while welding as have a fair bit of welding to do in that area? Thanks

Hi folks anyone point me in the right direction with my 2000 d2 td5 auto. I disconnected the negative terminal from battery and unplugged the ecu before welding a patch on the footwell when i reconected the battery and ecu it wont start just turns over and hazard lights are flashing...

Watch out for rust on d2 body i noticed someone said the d2,s bodys dont rust but they do there getting on a bit now. Front inner wings Front footwells And sills all prone to rot aswell as the rear chassis.

Yes is was done at callrova with bcu on the bench they daid fobs were working fine.

As in title looking for someone local to me( I'm in lumphanan aberdeenshire Scotland) that has nanocom that's willing to come a program a new used bcu to my ecu and sync key fobs on my disco 2 td5. If anyones available let me no and a rough price you would charge. Thanks

Desperatly need this part for my freelander td4 2003 cant find it anywhere online anyone no where I can get one. Its one of the rods at the end of the gear selector with ball joints either end mines worn and pops of giving me no gear selection. Any help appreciated.
