    I hate P38's so MUCH!!!

bought mine for a grand 4 years ago. Ive done a long list of maintenance and repairs. I've probably got 3 or 4 grand into it so far and its still going. I intend on keeping it and getting a smaller eco snowflake ride to daily now considering life costs have sky rocketed and its getting more...

    I hate P38's so MUCH!!!

Id like to reply to my own post here for everyone to read. I purchased one of those specially made EAS leads from ebay and downloaded software for diagnosing and recalibrating the eas system. It has really made a massive difference to doing diy and repairs and maintenance. Being able to turn off...

Loss of power & slight misfire

I know its a messy labour ass job and back breaking knuckle grazing finger squeezing fingertip using breath holding hunchback producing party, but on my 99 p38a 2.5d once a year around this cold season I replace all fuel injector run off lines, remove intake parts, and inlet manifold ( plastic)...

    Eas valve block rebuild

Whatever you do! Take pics during dismantle steps. Their are 3 valves inside which need to be put back the right way. Its easy to forget this and place them all back in the same way because they fit either way. I highly recommend valve body rebuild to all who suffer from EAS. I ended up...

    I hate P38's so MUCH!!!

1999 p38a 2.5d abs sensor always turns on while starting. Stays on until you drive off for a bit. I had to replace my front ones. I have light on again now. I had to keep getting under the car and push the sensor down to the wheel hub and axle. There's a ring with teeth cut outs all around it...

1999 P38A 2.5D WHAT IVE DONE, WOULD I DO IT AGAIN?

I bought my P38 in the Summer of 2019 for 1000 pounds. I drove to Bridlington in a Peugot 206 2.0 petrol 5 door. I only had it for a year but was already sick of it. So I met the guy, test drove the P38, and drove off and left my Peugot 206 in his neighbours parking spot. Left it their with a...

    Why why why

This is the ac drier I was talking about. Not anywhere in the sales description didn't say it came precharged. I started to unscrew one of the plastic screw caps to install and hissing emitted. Quickly screws back on. Now need to still install to get my car back together. It seems almost...

    Why why why

While I've got the engine bay and front grill and rads out I thought I'd renew all the perishable over 20 year old pipes, and fix a few wiring issues. Should be done putting it all back together these next couple of days. It would take me a full day on my own but I have 3 young boys to look...

    Why why why

OK so no my driver window is an ongoing issue since my child spilt pop on the window switch pack centre console so I have been doing it manually with card off. Proper step toe job, but I have been sorting out the engine and ride. Whole new front end steering components, ball joints, new rad, oil...

Are you saying that the gas inside the drier is my ac freon gas ? Forgive my ignorance but none of the parts sites have declared nothing like that there was any gas in them. So I should be able to hook the drier up and have cold ac ?
