My freelander was leaking oil through thermostat housing of oil cooler I took it apart and found out it leaking throuh a oil seal type thing (metal on top rubber arround and bottom ) is there anywhere to buy this seal?

If that’s the case how it runs fine sometimes and sometimes not? Can it be the coolant shorted the fly by wire injector socket and lead in to no 1 injector malfunction?

Lucky me bonnet was opened when that happens.I quickly shut off the engine not much coolant left so It didn’t overheat

My mechanic found out that oil coming through a head bolt end (from block side there is a open).So we clean the bolt and sealed with some thread seal then good to go.

It’s only leak when engine on I will put a picture it still morning here

Hey guys I found a small engine oil leak between high pressure pump and oil cooler its coming through the surface of the engine I can’t locate where it comes so is there a weep hole between them first I thought it was the oil cooler but it’s not i have freelander l series(2000)any idea guys?

Replaced it with second hand pump today No fault codes cheers (But don’t know how long I can celebrate )
