That’s an idea mounting them on the gutter rail. I’m just trying to figure out if I can get speakers in the headlining or not.

I was thinking about that, but me being me id rather have a permanent system.

Being 17 i dont really have the money to spend £80 on just 1 door card, hence why im thinking of putting it in the headlining as ive already got it in my 90 and it seems a logical place to put it. The only problem i can think of is space between the headlining and the roof, is there enough space...

I understand what your saying, im thinking about maybe putting 2 speakers in the headlining right above the seats. The thing with speakers being so low down is that when i get in after work with my steel toe cap boots ill destroy them in a short amount of time.

That seems like an idea, behind the centre divide.Are they that easily heard as im not too keen on drilling into the dash.

I’ll take a look at that. I’ve been wanting to fit it in the headlining but like you’ve mentioned, speakers would be an issue.

Surely it’ll work fine in a defender?

Luckily mine has sound proofing the same as my dads 200tdi and in his its easily heard. Just wanting to know how to do it and install one.

Yeah i know what your saying, most of the time im doing under 30mph round where i live so it should be alright. Im not expecting to be able to hear it on the motorway or anything like that. Just wanting to know how id do it, how i wire it up and where to put speakers etc.

Hi all, I’ve just been out in my Defender for the first time in the dark in the rain and all functions correctly apart from the rear door window de-mister as the lines have all broken up. Does anyone know where I can get a new rear de-mister strips and elements? Regards.

Understood, don’t think I’ll go for seat belts then as it’s not worth it for the amount of times the bench seats will actually be used.

Do the bench seats have seatbelts and if not are they a requirement? How would that work?
