Cat was pretty clean. Looked fairly new tbh. Regardless it's no longer on the vehicle till September and m.o.t at least haha. Cleaned turbo using revive as had good results on my td5 disco with that. Car feels perkier but still has underboost/overboost fault codes flashing up although no longer...

I'll give that a look when removing exhaust. I want to fit the decat pipe I got with my stainless exhaust but don't know how friendly my local mot station is yet

Right. Ran without vac pipe connected to turbo. Same symptoms. Ran with MAF disconnected. Same symptoms. Gave up. Took to local landrover specialist. They tried a few bits to no avail. On cold start injector 2 runs rich, injector 3 runs lean for 2 or 3 seconds then these level out. The software...

Would a dirty MAF sensor cause any of the symptoms I listed in my original post.

The thing with the weird wooshing noise is it only does it from time to time. When it does the lesser of the two warning lights come on. Clear the code. It may do it again 5 mins later or it can be a few days. Never really looses power when it does. No boost leaks that I can find. Sometimes the...

The solenoid is brand new but the actuator on the turbo hasn't been checked. I can see it move when revved (10mm or so movement) I'll try disconnecting it in the morning and see what happens. Got so many cuts and scrapes today shower food and bed is all I can be bothered with today haha. Cheers...

Only thing on the boost system that hasn't been touched is the turbo now.

Yeah. Codes are still boost related but P0236 instead of P0237/8

Drives fine. No lack of power. Still an odd wooshing noise when above 2800rpm. Like air escaping but I know there is no leaks as had it connected up to the smoke machine at the workshop. Only thing I can think is wastegate isn't holding pressure despite the vacuum system being fully refurbished...

Flashed up code P0236 on journey home. I really am stumped now .

What a pain in the backside job that was. Hopefully it will solve the issue. The old one was filthy. Cleared all existing codes. Now to drive home and see if it plays me up anymore .

I have a fairly comprehensive tool box being a steel fitter in the past. I think the top one is threaded in and there's a nut on the bottom somewhere. I was terrified of shearing it and royally screwing myself so left it till I had another reason to tackle it

I have a new starter to put on anyways so will remove the starter beforehand. Been avoiding doing that job for ages due to the top bolt not wanting to budge. May aswell do both at the same time

Just to be double sure. It was crank sensor replaced and not cam sensor yes

Indie the the crank position sensor a thought at one point and ruled it out due to the sort of code it threw up. Reading through your thread I shall be purchasing one tomorrow and hopefully fingers crossed it solves the issue. I'll keep you posted via here. Thanks dude .

To add. Live boost pressure shows a normal rise along rev range peaking but holding at 29 psi
