Have 2000 TD5 gs auto disco looking for power boost for towing unsure as to what is best chip the old girl or buy a plug in power box such as dastek unit but can't find out if dastek unit is compatable with the auto box? what will be the best in the long term.:doh:

Hi the correct grade of dextron was put in to the gearbox and was filled while operating the gear selector lever as described in a well known owners service manuel when the filter was changed i also replaced the gasket and have since replaced the oil again both times the oil was a dirty brown...

Hi all my td5 auto is very tempremental at changing gear sometimes it will change ok and then the next time you drive it it wont change until 3k revs on a flat straight road (engine and box warm) have changed the auto box oil and also the filter and it still isn't playing ball any ideas.

Sounds like the fuel pump is not supplying the correct fuel pressure and is tailing off at revs have had the same problem on other vehicles. dosn't sound like electrical as fault would be there all the time.try pressure test and poss new pump.

Hi all the old tub is running lumpy at fast idle (slight miss) and feels more like a vibration when driving seems engine related ?? TD5 is 2000 GS auto.sometimes is hesitant to change gear now and then. anyone have any clues.:crutch:

Hi all the old TD5 disco (2000 model) has a list to the drivers rear every morning fire her up and it lifts after about 1-2 mins but have noticed it going down after only a few hours now. Compressor working fine pipes seem ok need help please on the old idea front.:rolleyes:
