Just out driving and losing power on any hill or incline. Put foot to floor and max 55, speed drops as you go up hill. Doesn’t appear to be smoking, no horrible noises? Any help where to look appreciated for a novice. Thanks Terry

Meant to say wiper blades are in parked position, unable to move manually, motor working fine. Note to self, need new batteries in torch!!!!!

Well I spoke to the guys at Bearmach and after chatting with them decided to replace just the ball joints and D bushes and not the anti-roll bar. I suppose time will tell but the net result is knocking noise gone, problem solved and all for less than £30, now that’s what you call a great value...

Ah thanks for that, I have enough noise when I’m driving the Morgan with the roof down, honestly most of my driving in Larry is in and around the new forest, the roads are pretty bumpy but not too bad, I certainly wouldn’t want it to be noisier than it is now, it will be interesting to hear...

Evening all, Got a 2005 Defender 90 TD5 and had a rather grim clunking sound suddenly start from rear drivers side when dropping off a curb or a large bump, after further investigation i found the problem to be the ball joint on the end of the rear anti roll bar so I dropped the whole assembly...

Thanks for that, I had seen a few sets of RX8 seats for sale stating they fit, but being fairly new to this wasn’t sure. Anyway are the RX8 seats a fairly straight forward fit/swap, is there much modification required to the Defender, so do the existing runners fit or it require a new base plate...

Hi all, After a little assistance from more experienced Defender owners please. Want to fit heated seats to my 2005 Defender 90 TD5 County. Seen a very good set on offer, they are XS heated from a 2011 puma 90, does anyone know if they will fit my 2005 Defender? Thanks in advance Tel

Agreed, that’s something I hadn’t really considered, what’s hiding or lurking underneath? In my case nothing, and having read and considered I shan’t be proceeding with more than is on there already. I certainly wouldn’t want to be driving something like the one shown above, but each to their own.

It’s that panel, and it was more a moments musing, I’ve been considering putting a few more Ali panels onto Larry as I quite like the look. However on reflection and having googled a lot more photos I may have asked the question in haste, No Defender was drilled or harmed during the process...
