Great thanks for your help, is the nav computer under the driver's seat or is that just the dvd drive, i thought if the red light was transmitted from the nav computer the amp or bluetooth module would be at fault or am I missing something, how does the most bypass work. Thanks

I've checked the head unit, dvd unit under drivers seat and the fibre both has red light, checked the amp, Bluetooth module and no light, is there a order in which the light travel through each bit of equipment to determine which is at fault, no dab unit Thanks

Thanks for that, how would I check that the fibre optic was working on each component,is there anything I can see or does it need to be diagnosed with a computer

It had been to stratstone landrover and it was them who said it was the head unit, what needs the software update as I put another head unit in and still get the same problem, is there more stuff connected to the system, thanks

2009 freelander cd player 1cdx alpine speakers and subwoofer The cd player won't turn on it flashes landrover then goes back off, this is connected to the nav screen which also keeps flashing on and off, took it to landrover and they said it was the head units so purchased another "working"...
