Disco 2 Discovery 2 td5 crank pulley sheared

Thanks for the advice, has anyone used the starter motor method? Seems that you jam the socket and give it a start but not enough to fire her up to get the bolt moving? Can it be that simple?? Seen a few YouTube videos but I’m not sure it won’t cause more problems?

Disco 2 Discovery 2 td5 crank pulley sheared

another disco adventure... my crank pulley failed in snowdonia on Sunday so it’s second trip home on a AA truck in six months. Disco II Air suspension – the definitive guide

Thanks for the response. Will be interesting to see if it should be running constantly. I'm still getting use to the modern technology of 2002 Disco II having driven the old 300tdi for the past 8 years!

Disco II Air suspension – the definitive guide

Hi, just replaced my 94 Disco 300tdi with a 2002 plate. All mod cons seem to be doing what I'd expect and so far the back end has not dropped. What I'm not sure about, when the engine is running the air compressor is whiring away constantly? not making any odd noises but it running constantly...
