Cold engine start - strange accelleration - low power

As I suspected sounds like typical fuel starvation, start at the tank and prove everything now. I may also be tempted jus to stick a lift pump on for the sake for £20 but perhaps they are not as easy or cheap to get where you are.

Cold engine start - strange accelleration - low power

Clear fuel line is a good idea at all times but all the stuff I ever see is not long term fuel compatible.

Cold engine start - strange accelleration - low power

That doesn't sound right at all from what you have written and your video. The 300tdi is a good engine, mine will pull 80mph up a steep motorway I sometimes drive on, it is almost an annual test to see how things are, if it romps up this hill in 5th then I know shes in good form. There are...

Pre TD5, galv, no extension rear crossmember

Agreed, but if you saw the chassis rails you would be saddened if you had to cut them off. If I am really honest with myself my rear crossmember was salvageable. The rot was low down at the end of the rails, I just quickly came to the conclusion that I will be doing far less welding with known...

Pre TD5, galv, no extension rear crossmember

Thank you for the info, getting a bare one is also not too much of an issue, and as you say they do an option, however just looking to see if someone offers exactly what I want out the box first. Issue with galv is I then wait ages to save up a big enough load to make it worthwhile!

Pre TD5, galv, no extension rear crossmember

I could, but I cannot be bothered with stripping the paint back. I've spoken to some people who might be able to get me a pre-paint one.

Pre TD5, galv, no extension rear crossmember

Hello, has anyone successfully found the above? I cut out some x-member rust as inspection holes and the chassis is solid with the dinitrol having done it's job perfectly, just not good enough to protect a x-member in the exposed to wheelspray position. I really do just need and want the...

Low mileage but long life tyre recommendations

Given the use you give your Landy I think I'd suggest just cheap tyres and replace them as they perish. I always buy good tyres for my cars but if my 90 needed tyres given it does about 500miles a year and is driven quite differently I would probably just get a sort of budget tyre next time...

    110 rear door

I got a galv framed ali skin one from SP4x4 - they are a bit of a pig of a company to deal with but the product, is decent (as long as they jig it correctly - I had to send one back.

Clunking through steering on rough terrain - 300tdi

Probably a steering shaft bearing. Hold the body of the UJ where it connects to the steering shaft that goes up to the steering wheel and rock the shaft back and forth as much as you can, you will probably then feel the knock above if it is indeed a shaft bearing.

Where to keep the jack in a 90

It lives behind the front seats with a little rubber O-ring that clips it to the bulkhead. I can't really see how it is a pain. It just lives there, I haven't found it a problem over the last 16 years! I tend not to use it right enough preferring a bottle or small trolley jack, however I keep...

    Brake pipe fittings?

This looks like a decent little one. Do you have that one? Is it good? Mine is bench mounted which is great for making new lines but no good if you need to flare on a vehicle, i.e. to put in a repair section.
