All fixed now High pressure fuel pump gave up

Hi mate just got my Freelander back from the main dealers they gave me a print out of the high pressure rail they said I should be getting 20,200KPA but I am only getting 8188KPA and that was working the engine hard I was told to go to a specialist who can check the pressures and test the high...

thanks for the reply the main dealer should be able to pin point the problem shouldn't he £80 + VAT for 1 hour lets hope so

thanks mate its booked in for a diagnostics check with the main dealer tomorrow so they should pick up that fault i cant work out how my mate who is a mechanic of thirty years didn't check that he has the snap on diagnostics maybe never picked up the fault?????

Hi mate thanks for the reply im not mechanically minded but when you say-" Have you checked the live data for the High pressure fuel rail?" is this the same as checking the pressure regulator on the high pressure fuel pump?
