    Nanocom Data Log

63.9 g/s at idle and 579.5 g/s at 2815 rpm only 55 mph so might have been underlay like going up a hill but can't remember. The specialist said they had checked the waste gate but to be fair would like to lean how to do it myself so will give it another check at the weekend . Thanks for the...

Hi there, I've been pointed in your direction as I believe you're a Nanocom guru when it comes to the TD5 engine. Another member has said you have listed common parameters re the TD5 on a thread on here, could you point me in the direction of this? Any help massively appreciated!

    Nanocom Data Log

Thanks for the reply. I serviced it about 3000 miles ago, full service. It’s had 1 new injector, all new injector seals (genuine), new MAF, new fpr, new injector harness (infact 2 as first new one was faulty), new (2nd hand ECU), plug constantly checked and cleaned with brake cleaner. CPS...

    Nanocom Data Log

I've just purchased a Nanocom Eveloution to help diagnose a running issue with my New TD5. It surges quite badly on cold/ cold-ish start up ( I know most do but this is particularly bad and a lot worse than my previous TD5 110) and feels kind of laboured at 60-65 like its having the tits ragged...

    Early MOT Test

I did always wonder about this, thought it could be the case but would have hoped common sense would prevail. Like not getting a job because you have no experience but need the job to get experience...and coppers wonder why people don't like them...

    Early MOT Test

Sorry if this has already been covered I have checked but can't see anything that answers my query. Thinking of selling my 110 but it only has 3 months MOT (Due March) on it which looks a bit ****. This might be widely stupid but could I put it in now and get a full 12 months which would change...

    Defender TD5 DMF Replacement

perfect thanks! Did you replace flywheel bolts? Also did you replace spigot bearing? If so what is the best way to get it out? Pack it with grease and bang it out?

    Defender TD5 DMF Replacement

Finally getting around to replacing my flywheel this week on my 110. Going to go with the method of chucking an engine crane through the side to hold the gearbox and working through the floor. Anyone ever tried this who can give me some tips? Also some tips on taking the seat box out as I...

    Will Anti-Roll Bars from Tdci 90 fit a TD5 110?

Off to pick up a very cheap bundle or parts tomorrow just for these anti-roll bars as my 110 didn't come with them. I'm pretty certain the front bar will fit fine but I'm a bit wary that the rear won't. Seeing things about the tdci being mounted onto the fuel tank housing but I have roll bar...

    TD5 15p injector wanted

Have you still got the EGR or deleted? Could also look at the cat might be partially blocked perhaps affecting results. If youre getting odd readings from the injectors they could be over fueling which would defiantly increase your emissions. Assume the chip would increase the fueling as well so...

    TD5 15p injector wanted

What I meant to try and get across was I highly doubt they'll tighten the specs to beyond the capabilities of the engine. The read out with the mots that shows your emissions result, probably a number up to 3. That limit won't be lower than physically possible to produce off a stock engine...

    TD5 15p injector wanted

Got told by my new MOT tester that the newer stricker rules like smoke out of the exhaust, DPF levels e.c.t only apply to the newer models, seem to remember euro 6? Vehicles before then are still based on the ppm measuring we have at the moment, taking manufactures emissions data and using that...

How much did you pay for your Land Rover?

£6600 for my 05' 110 TD5 last year. Is ex-police povo spec mind. Got my 200tdi for £2400 back in 2015 but sunk an unholy and irrevocable amount into that :D Spent the past year trying to work out whats a fair price for one. Still non-the wiser.

    Idler Pulley Replacement

I've replaced the idler pulley bearing (blue arrow) with a Timken 6303 bearing as it was beginning to make noise, has anyone replaced the bearing the pulley shown by the red arrow? Can't find anything online about that one. Gonna take it apart tomorrow for a look but though I'd chuck this up see...

    Materials in a Defender

Yeah banging. Like I know the big things like the body, chassis, engine e.ct but like trailing arms, brake calipers, handbrake drums little things like that if anyone has any knowledge of what any parts like that are made from would be really helpful.

    Defender Life Cycle Research.

Postgrad man. Actually using a fair wack of knowledge of this forum which uni is surprisingly ok with! Interesting you note scrappage as a factor, reckon it will play a massive part just need to work out how to quantify it first!
