What did you do with your Range Rover today

I will also need to check if there's anything else causing poor fuel economy. Steady run was getting 30 but this trip I've averaged 22. Seemed to do better on today's run based on milage and guage position. I will know better when I fill up on Tuesday morning when I get off the boat. No point...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

You were lucky then. I've had them on the bench polished and looking like new but they've still bound. I've probably done 10 and they've all done it but a cheap set of new ones and fine so I just chuck em in the bin now. Got to do discs all round on mine as they're a bit juddery from motorway...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Is it an L322? If so, the rear calipers are notorious for seizing on. I've stripped several and rebuilt them but they never work properly. Much easier just to buy a couple of new ones.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

That said, snow all gone now. Tomorrow I will head to around Berlin then Sunday to Delft. Monday with a customer in Holland then on the boat back to hull Monday night. I will at some point get the android head unit fitted! Using my JBL smart speaker is better than driving in silence but it's...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Probably not as good when I drove the last 40 miles through compacted snow and ice though

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Well, if you have to do 600 miles in a day then 400 the next I can confirm that a 3.6tdv8 l322 is one of the better vehicles to do it in. What I have learnt though is that the fuel economy properly falls off a cliff above 90mph. On the morning stint through Holland (Dutch plod is not good to...

    Range rover nightmare.

I don't really see the point if you're pressure bleeding how can it back feed? The second the nipple is open fluid flows out until you close it again. I mean, yes, they're a nice socket so less likely to round the nipple but I think the valve is a bit of a gimmick

    L322 Heater

Fan works fine in manual on all speeds. It Definately feels like it isn't sensing cabin temp correctly

    L322 Heater

Hi all, The heater is temperamental in the bus. It seems to lag what's needed massively. My suspicion is that the fan that sucks air into the sensor vent on the panel isn't working so it takes forever to sense the real cabin temp. Does anyone know if this fan can be replaced as I will be...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I find on mine it's best to put it in manual when driving on cruise or the slightest incline causes it to drop down a gear. Cruise control isn't renowned for mpg, it just does whatever it needs to keep the speed correct. My wife always gets better economy than I do because she doesn't like...

P38A Rear hub assembly FTC3223 from Eurospares anyone tried them?

Shame you're not closer, you would be welcome to use our press if you were.

Fault codes and other joyous things

Ebv function fault sounds like electric battery vehicle. I would clear all and try again. Could be spurious faults, could be legit. Steering angle could cause abs faults so that one probably needs sorting if you have abs issues.

P38A Rear hub assembly FTC3223 from Eurospares anyone tried them?

I would go with it. It's a casting so should be fine. If you're worried that the bearings may be chinesuum then buy the timken kit and swap them out before fitting. Or, just buy the bearings and swap them out anyway?

Does this look quite right? L322 wishbone elbow

Could also be your suspension calibration is way out diagonally causing it to rock fr to rl if that makes sense. When I got my first p38 it was like a barge and everyone said it would be shot bushes and airbags. They all looked fine. Recalibrated it and it drove like a new one.

    L322 issues

That's exactly what was causing mine. The ecu one seemed to occasionally delay changing states but the brake light one was instant. If there's more than a few milliseconds between it throws this fault (for future searchers)

What did you do with your Range Rover today

That would work. It's how they clean cement mixers. Some fine pea gravel and some sand and something to tumble it slowly. Make an arbour out of threaded bar and use an old tank cap fit it into a cordless at slow speed.

    L322 issues

Mine is proof in point of that. I had "suspension lowered" "hdc inactive" "dsc inactive" "park brake fault" "transmission fault" All due to a slightly faulty brake light switch

    No drive but grinding noise

Could it be that the transfer box has at sometime in the past got stuck with the gears only just in mesh for hi range and it's finally let go? Might be worth seeing if you can tell if it is moving when you switch between hi and lo range

    2008 L322 4.4 Cranks but No Start

Assuming it's petrol as its 4.4 on 08 so as marjon says, have a look at a plug see if its wet. Could be a million and one things so diag first before anything can be considered.

    L322 bluetooth module pinout wiring

Sounds like it's not handshaking with the other most devices and shutting down. Once it shuts down it kills the rest of the network.
