Anyone ever opened up an anti burst door handle? Mine doesn't close anymore;
The bit with the U-shaped cutout should come down in two steps. First step to close the door and the second step so you can lock the door with a key or the little switch from inside.
Is there a spring loose? Any help is...
for the dutch ex-defense 109 series here's is part of the electrical scheme where the indicators and warningknobs are on. Also the two blocking relays are on them; they prevent accidently putting the light on in wartime
Goodmorning,
The wheelnuts on all 4 wheels are very tight. I sprayed them with penetrating oil and tapped them with a hammer. Is it save to heat them up with a torch? no problem with the brakes?
I don't want to break the studs..
Yesterday I re-installed the wipermotor. I tested it and it turns alright. BUt when I take of the power it stops where it is. It doesn't go to the 'rest-position'.
What should make it go to that position and how since the power is off?
i bought two new locks. when I installed them I saw the right door had no hole for the lock.
so I used this tool to make one
now it looks like this
tool off and lock in
this is what was left

About repairing the footwells there is enough to find on the Internet. The sheet metal around the air vents of my car is also badly rusted.
Anyone done this before?
Today I took off the front bumper. The bolts and nuts were totally rusted so I had to grind off the lower bumper-brackets and top-bolts. Also the chassis had some rust damage. Tomorrow weld in new iron
Does anyone have a schedule for the brakelines and components for a dutch military 109 series lll?
I want to replace the whole system and all of its components
I want to replace the bracket on the underside of the bulkheadpillar while it is still in the vehicle.
When I take the bolt and nut out won't the bulkhead drop?
The footwell is also no longer attached to the chassisbracket..
What would be the best way to do this? Thanks in advance
I see there are quite a few members from the Netherlands.
My Series lll is an ex-militairy, left hand drive, 24 Volts, diesel radiotruck. Made in 1978.
When it reaches the age of 40 I no longer have to pay taxes :-)
