Freelander 1 Exhaust front pipe / down pipe

All done, and never again! Cat studs drilled out. Bolts to the turbo eventually came out, two bolts removed the stud as well, one just the bolt. From underneath took every 1/2" extension bar I have and a 70cm long breaker bar while closing my eyes to move the bastards!

Freelander 1 Exhaust front pipe / down pipe

I'm not normally a religious man, but, how on Gods earth do you remove the front section of the exhaust? Bolts to cat - Seized, grind off and hammer out? Not a chance, I've ground the nuts off and the cat seems to be studs that join the front pipe. So now I have no way of join to the new...

    Freelander 1 Strange starting problems

Here we go.... Connected the starter under load - Nothing, so maybe the battery is on it's way out. New battery, connected the starter under load, turned the engine, yay. Connected everything back up, turned the key - Nothing! I went and had a little cry in the corner. Wired up a temp push to...

    Freelander 1 Strange starting problems

Currently have a Freelander 1 that doesn't start. Turn key, some clicks from relays, but nothing else no starter motor noise or turning. This is a replacement starter motor as I had a very slow turning starter motor when i bought the car. I have also purchased and installed a new ignition...

Freelander 1 Very lazy slow starter motor

All fixed. Charged battery and jump leads using another battery made no difference. New starter motor fitted and works like a dream. Fires up first time every time. I will take the old unit apart at some point and see what the issue was, maybe fit a repair kit and keep as a spare. Thanks again...

Freelander 1 Very lazy slow starter motor

Thanks all. Battery is now off and on charge (it doesn't look that old, but could be broken), lead from the battery and on the starter motor seemed well attached when removing, will grease on replacement. I will refit the charged battery, if no different I will use a secondary battery and some...

Freelander 1 Very lazy slow starter motor

Evening. Have just purchased a '99 2.0 Diesel Freelander that needs a bit of love. The starter motor is very slow and doesn't always start the engine, if you don't get it started on the first few attempts it gets slower and slower each time you use it until nothing happens. It then needs a rest...

    Remote fobs

Thanks both. Can't find any on ebay. But I'm guessing the below is the same thing? I was hoping to find it cheaper then £65 per fob. http://www.remotekey.co.uk/land-rover-freelander-key-fob/

    Remote fobs

Dragging up an old thread, done a search on here and this is so far the only thread I can find. I'm in exactly the same position. New car (to me) comes with two keys and no fobs. Is the local auto locksmith still the way to go with this to get some key fobs? Thanks

    Greetings - New Freelander

Ebay is a dangerous thing when bored. I now seem to be the owner of a '99 Diesel Freelander! Needs a bit of work, so look forward to many of my pointless questions over the coming months! Cheers.
